Clarke Telecom Achieves RoSPA Gold for the Second Consecutive Year
Clarke Telecom has been awarded Gold at the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards 2026, marking a second consecutive year at this level.
The award recognises the standards, systems and day-to-day behaviours that support safe delivery across our operations. It reflects the care and discipline our people bring to their work, from early planning and risk assessment through to delivery, review and shared learning.
The 2026 awards mark the 70th anniversary of the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards.
What began as a small UK event now attracts around 2,000 entries from nearly 60 countries, bringing together organisations committed to preventing accidents and protecting people at work.
Achieving Gold for a second consecutive year gives Clarke Telecom independent review and recognition of the progress we continue to make and the standards we expect across the business.
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Growth Director, said:
“RoSPA congratulates Clarke Telecom on its RoSPA Health and Safety Gold Award. The high standards Clarke Telecom has achieved are the result of hard work and dedication, of which it should be rightfully proud and which RoSPA is delighted to honour.”
How We Put Safety into Practice
Leadership and Accountability
Health and safety is a clear leadership responsibility at Clarke Telecom and Clarke Connect. Our leaders set expectations, stay visible and ensure everyone understands their role in safe delivery.
Strong Management Systems
Our safety management systems provide a consistent framework for planning, assurance and governance. Regular checks help us confirm that controls are working and identify where we can improve.
Risk Management and Prevention
We assess risk during initial planning and keep controls under review as conditions change. For higher-risk site activities such as breaking ground, clearer standards are supported by training, coaching, upgraded detection equipment and technology-enabled supervision. This helps our teams identify and control risk before work begins.
Learning and Improvement
Programmes such as Risk Radar and See IT, Say IT give colleagues practical ways to report concerns and share observations. The insight they provide helps us identify risks earlier, strengthen controls and share learning across future projects.

Harry Ruddock, SHEQ Adviser at Clarke Telecom, said:
“Preventing incidents is central to our Risk Radar approach and shapes how work is planned and delivered across the business. Safe delivery is a shared operational responsibility, and Risk Radar and See IT, Say IT give everyone practical ways to identify concerns, speak up and share learning.
“Alongside stronger site controls, training, coaching and technology for higher-risk activities such as breaking ground, this shared focus helps us act earlier and continually improve how we protect our people, partners and everyone involved in our projects.”
Speaking about the achievement, Ian Marshall, Managing Director at Clarke Telecom, said:
“Achieving Gold again reflects the consistent standards our people maintain across every project and partnership. Those standards are supported by strong systems, effective training and the decisions made every day: planning work properly, communicating and learning from experience.
“Thank you to everyone across Clarke Telecom and Clarke Connect for the commitment they continue to show and for always looking for ways to improve.”
Safety Underpinning Our Integrated Capabilities
RoSPA Gold recognises the high safety standards embedded in our operational delivery. These standards are owned across the business and shape how we plan, deliver and maintain infrastructure, providing the governance, assurance and risk control needed to work safely and reliably across complex, live and regulated environments.
Our integrated capabilities bring together telecoms, smart networks, power infrastructure, battery storage, edge compute, private 5G and EV infrastructure. By combining these disciplines with consistent operational standards, we help clients reduce complexity, strengthen resilience and improve performance throughout the infrastructure lifecycle.
